Let's Meet

Scott Mayerowitz is the founder of GlobeTrotScott Strategies. A skilled storyteller, editor and award-winning reporter, Scott helps companies and destinations with customer experience enhancements, building and strengthening relationships with travelers through robust loyalty programs and creating savvy media strategies.

Drawing on his two decades of experience in the travel, business and media industries, Scott offers bespoke advice to a diverse set of clients that includes startups and some of the leading brands in travel.

His past roles include: executive editor of travel site The Points Guy, deputy global business editor at The Associated Press, a travel and business reporter at both AP and ABC News and a political reporter for The Providence Journal.

Scott lives in Manhattan with his wife and their daughter. When he’s not mapping out their next vacation, he can be found running, cycling, skiing, rock climbing and exploring new restaurants.

My Vision

It starts with the simple premise that there’s too much friction in travel. The industry can be smarter about the products it offers, how it serves different types of travelers and the ways each brand interacts with other parts of the journey. I’m looking to help fix the little things that often make or break a trip.

Services

Travel has an amazing power to enlighten and educate each of us. There’s no one right way to travel and it should be accessible to all. That journey starts with the stories that are told.

My services combine decades of experience covering the airline, hotel and cruise industries plus the destinations and loyalty programs behind them.

Past public speaking and conference moderation includes:  Travel & Tourism Council’s Sustainability & Investment Summit, The Wings Club Foundation, The Poynter Institute, The Transportation Security Administration’s annual leadership conference and The Travel & Adventure Show.

Media appearances include: ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, The Associated Press, Cheddar News and NewsNation.
